Black Military World.Com There are thousands of important and interesting stories of African American military pioneers, reaching back to the Revolutionary War. I decided that something had to be done to recognize and honor these heroes, and blackmilitaryworld.com was conceived. After several months of hard work, in collaboration with Web Designer Michael Jones of MLJ Consulting, the site was launched in August of 2006.
Thanks for your support and best wishes in your career.

National Marrow Donor Program The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), created in 1986, is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that facilitates unrelated donor stem cell transplants for patients around the world with life-threatening blood diseases who do not have matching donors in their families.
Of the 4 million potential donors listed on the Registry, only 1 million (25%) are donors of color. This gap needs to be narrowed. While the NMDP welcomes everyone who is medically eligible and willing to volunteer, there is a critical need for more donors from the African American, Hispanic, Asian & Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
